Paul Fairie
Paul Fairie is the Principal Co-ordinator of the Downtown Core Neighbourhood Association. He is enthusiastic about community engagement, local government and making jokes on Twitter.
In 2019, he served on the City’s Tax Shift Assessment Working Group; in 2020, he revived a long-lost beverage; and, in 2021, he helped to form this neighbourhood association. He works as a researcher and instructor.

Gary Thompson
Gary is here out of a passion for community building. Currently also serving on two other boards (one for a registered charity and another for a condo building), and volunteering at the library (despite also working for the library), Gary likes to find ways to be part of something bigger. That or, any reason to avoid sitting at home bored, despite having an expanding backlog of shows, books, and video games to get through.
